Rewards

Praise for Learning (P4L) is the name we give to our academy Rewards Policy. We use it to encourage and motivate our students and to encourage them to work to their potential. 

Students can receive P4L at three levels – P1, P2 and P3. These will lead to awards and certificates.

P4L is awarded by staff under three headings:

CURRICULUM

Examples: excellent classroom work, good homework, a great project, a valuable contribution in class, a confident presentation, outstanding test results.

PASTORAL

Examples: high attendance, good punctuality, super contribution to a tutor activity, bringing all the correct equipment, wearing uniform smartly, taking part in an assembly, being a good citizen.

EXTRA-CURRICULAR

Examples: helping at an Academy Event, helping with the appointment of staff, taking part regularly in extra-curricular activities, playing in a team, doing an Academy Performance, making good progress in a PEP activity.
