Our partnership with parents

Our most important partnership is the one we have with parents.  We encourage them to play an active role in the education of their child, for example by taking an interest in their child’s work and making sure they attend the academy every day and arrive on time.

We communicate with parents regularly about their child’s progress through termly reports and student planners.  Our parents’ evenings provide parents with the opportunity to come to the academy to see what work their child is doing and meet teachers.  If they have any particular concerns, parents are always welcome to make an appointment to meet with their child’s tutor.

Through parent support groups and the academy’s Local Governing Body, there are numerous opportunities for parents to directly contribute to their child’s education.
