Mainly as a teacher of maths, but I have also worked in both secondary school and college settings in a support role too. I love everything to do with history, from visiting a centuries-old manor house, to reading an historical fiction book by my favourite author, Philippa Gregory.

Kirsty Sims

I joined NOA in November 2020, previously working at a local primary school.  Since joining NOA I have been supporting pupils in class to be able to access their lessons through my capacity as a Learning Coach. I also run the gardening club at school as I believe fresh air is important for well-being. In my spare time I like to run, and have completed Wolf runs and marathons.

Jess Woods

My name is Jessica Wood, I am Learning Coach supporting students with SEMH needs. I have worked for 8 years with children and young people with emotional difficulties, I really enjoy the challenges and rewards that it brings. Andy Bryan

Job Role: Learning coach

Qualifications: BSC Biological sciences

I have taught Biology, General Sciences and Health and Social Care in secondary schools in London and in Milton Keynes.

I have also worked as a library assistant at the University of Northampton.

My hobbies are Martial Arts, African Music and I also have a keen interest in Astronomy. This interest was aroused in 1969 when as a young child I remember watching the first Apollo moon landing on television. I remember saying to my parents that I wanted to be an astronaut when I grew up.

Even though childhood dreams don't always materialise, I have always tried to do my best in everything that I do.

My interest here at NOA is to help motivate young people so that they can achieve their full potential.
