Exam Results 2015

North Oxfordshire Academy First Year of A level Results

 % entries A* to C – 48.9%

 % entries A* to E   - 88.9%

We are extremely proud of our students and their performance in this year’s A level and AS exams in the first year that the academy has run a full A level programme.

Some excellent individual performances include Karlena Clifford (pictured) who received an A in Maths and a C in Further Maths having completed both courses (AS and A2) in just one year. She has been accepted onto a Maths degree course at Loughborough University and eventually wants to qualify as a secondary school Maths teacher.

Sandra Piatkowska (pictured) who received an A*, two A grades and two C grades despite only moving to the UK from Poland 5 years ago. Her performance is especially impressive given that her grades were achieved in subjects studied in a second language. She has been accepted onto a degree programme in Cellular and Molecular Medicine at Bristol University.

Katy Piper (pictured) our top performing year 12 student. Katy received 4 As and a B in her AS levels in Maths, English Literature, Biology, Psychology and French. Katy’s ambition is to study Law at Oxford University after completing her A2 exams next year.

Not all of our students go on to university with many choosing the apprenticeship route: Emma Farrow, who achieved an A grade a B and two Cs in her A levels,  has already started her apprenticeship at Brethertons Solicitors in Banbury where she hopes to eventually qualify as a Lawyer.
