Education Challenge (formerly Make Your Mark Challenge) took place in the Academy on Tuesday 16th November 2010.
Each College competed with a team of between 4 and 6 students from Years 7-11.
Students were challenged to create a business that could launch this December on a market stall taking advantage of the most profitable time of the year to work in one of Britain’s local markets and test a product or service. |
||
| They had one day to work together as a team with the support of business people and Entrepreneurs to come up with their idea, produce a business plan for a product or service which you could sell on a December market stall and present their idea to a panel of judges. | |||
|
Judges were asked to review the ‘Best in School’ plans submitted and choose winners that meet the following criteria:
Creative, Clearly communicated, Viable and likely to succeed, likely to benefit the most from mentoring and market stall experience.

Warwick college made a very professional presentation including prototypes of marketing materials, however they had a high risk supply chain and they were declared runners –up.
Kings college had a very feasible idea for an advent tree of customised pick ‘n’ mix baubles and were chosen as ‘Best in School’ and were entered into the National completion and for the second year running we are now through to the next round of the completion. The team is receiving Video mentoring from some of Britain’s brightest business brains and are competing for a chance to test their business idea and have a business meeting with Peter Jones from Dragons Den. |

| Well done to all who took part and good luck to Kings for their future success. | |||
